Though I loved vegetable gardening, in 2015, I decided to tear down the tiered garden. One of the main reason was because of the decimation the animals did to the vegetables. I tried many things, but could not deter them from eating everything. The last straw was when they constructed a neon sign that said “Eat at Jeff’s!”. LOL

In its place, I decided to re-slope the back and plant perennials and bulbs. Using a sledgehammer, pick, and shovel to remove the tiers and stairs, was challenging and a lot of work. But after about 5-6 months of working many weekends and an hour or so every day after work, I was ready to plant!

There are 30+ perennials and about 1,500 bulbs. It is quite the sight in April and May!
