New York City

We visited New York City in April of 2019. I had been to New York for business a few times, but had never had an opportunity to be a tourist. This trip was all about being a tourist. We visited several museums, which worked out well, considering the weather was cold, wet, and windy. Though the true museums (Metropolitan Museum of Art, American Museum of Natural History, and Museum of Modern Art) were interesting, they were not my favorite.

The National September 11 Memorial & Museum was incredible. We paid for a private tour and it was so worth the money ($20/each). It was an hour tour and was so awesome. I highly recommend it. If being there does not affect you emotionally, you have no soul!

The view from the Empire State Building was incredible. But it was such a cold and windy day, we didn’t stay there that long.

The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum was the biggest surprise. It was so fascinating. Again, we paid for a private tour ($15/each), that was so worth it. Hearing the history of this incredible aircraft carrier was amazing. We also saw the Space Shuttle and walked through a nuclear submarine!
